    “i’m brightly fading
    savouring the doubt
your sonnets promising til I bail you of fear
    i’m thinking about it
clouding all over me like summer in June
running away just get closer to you
    to be nearer
    im hiding behind it”

    the profile on the pillow

    After our fierce loving
in the brief time we found to be together,
you lay in the half light
    exhausted, rich,
with your face turned sideways on the pillow
    and I traced the exquisite
line of your profile, dark against the white,

delicate and lovely as a child’s.
    Perhaps
you will cease to love me.
or we may be consumed in the holocaust,

but I keep, against the ice and the fire,
the memory of your profile on the pillow.

"nothing is original. steal from everywhere that resonates the inspiration or fuels your imagination. devour old films, new films, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signed, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. select only things to steal that speak to your soul. if you dod this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent, and don’t bother concealing your thievery- celebrate it if you feel like it. in any case, always remember what jean- luc godard said: “it’s not where you take things from- it’s where you take them to."
